The Ashfall Major returns this winter with our biggest field yet: three groups, forty-five players and a $200 prize pool. Whether you are competing or watching from home, here is everything our analyst desk thinks matters.
The schedule
Round-robin qualifiers run across the first two weekends, with every squad playing every group rival once. Semifinals are best-of-three; the grand final is a best-of-five under the full arena production. All times are published on the tournament schedule page.
The favorites
Crimson Hares enter as top seeds after an undefeated qualifier campaign, and their economy game remains the best in the building. Behind them, the Witch Wardens' retake coordination makes them the team nobody wants to draw early.
The dark horses
Watch Dusk Counter. Milo Leone's opening-duel numbers lead the league, and if their mid-round calling holds up, they can beat anyone in a series. Pacific Ronin are the second pick — chaotic, fearless and deeply uncomfortable to play against.
Our prediction
Hares over Wardens in four maps — unless Dusk Counter's qualifier form survives the semifinal stage, in which case all predictions are void and we will pretend we called it. That is the honest analyst position, and we stand by it.
